FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN 2016:
Hello Jesus Camp Staff,
We need your help with our annual Jesus Camp fundraising efforts. We have some ideas that may help to jumpstart your fundraising campaign. As always, we want to be able to offer the camp free of charge for the campers. We have done a number of things over the years to raise money. We’ve had churches donate money, we’ve solicited donations from various sources, we’ve charged the counselors, and we’ve asked for money from foundations. The financial aspect of camp has always come into place because we believe God has His hand on the Camp.
We are calling on YOU to do your part this year. Camp is a wonderful time to meet campers, and others in Christ. The opportunities are endless as counselors introduce campers to Christ, gain lifelong friends, and lots more. Join us in our FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN 2016.
We want to make this year the best year ever! I know that you can help us do this because we believe in you that you believe in the pathway of every future camper that God will put in our care. Without the fundraising efforts we may not get the opportunity to reach these young, precious campers.
Okay, Now the Good Stuff (the fine print) (LOL)
The camp fundraising goal is $14,000. This includes the camp budget of food, campground rental, renting bus rentals, the fun stuff like activity supplies and the theme day’s giveaways.
We are asking that each counselor participate in the fundraising campaign and raise or personally donate $150 for the June 2016 camp. Please, by no means stop at $150. We definitely encourage donating or raising all that you can. The money will be put to great use for the campers. As you know, all Jesus Camp staff members are 100% volunteers. Jesus Camp serves as a ministry for many staff and counselors.
We understand that your schedule is busy and that’s wonderful. Busy people accomplish great things. An idea for the busy schedule is to get your friends and family member to help you. Get them to pass out fundraising letters or to make calls. Ask them for money.
Supplies, Resources to Help You
We will give you sample fund raising letters. We are familiar with fundraising campaigns so ask Gigi or Dale for ideas, if needed. Post ideas and what you’re doing on the Jesus Camp Facebook page. Let’s make this effort viral.
