MISSION STATEMENT: By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are Christ’s ambassadors of reconciliation to bring hope and healing to a generation desperate for God.

History of Jesus Camp:

Since 2000, we have been offering Jesus Camp (free overnight Christian camp) as an outreach to the DFW community.   This has been provided at no cost to the children.

At Jesus Camp, God put a calling upon children and staff to attend.  We started by handing out applications to children at apartment complexes.  As the camp continued, many children heard about camp from other children at school or where they live.  God continues to bring the children that need ministered too.

There are many children that attend from all backgrounds.   Instead of calling and/or describing the children, or labeling the children by a certain background it is very important to us to simply describe them as “God’s Children”.   The children may not be from a wealthy family, live in the nicest houses, or live in the best areas in DFW but we choose to call them “God’s Children”.    The majority of the children would not be able to afford attending a camp.

In 2011, God is Good Ministries of Dallas, Inc. was established and in 2012 was approved by the IRS as a 501c3 non-profit.

In the future, we want to provide a ministry with the key points listed in “Ministry of Reconciliation” and “What we do” sections listed below.

Ministry of reconciliation:

 ·        Provide “Jesus Camp” to children for free.  Currently, we provide one week out of the year.  We want to have the free camps for the entire summer.

 ·        We want to provide a ministry of reconciliation for children and adults so the broken will be healed, the lost will be saved, and that people will know the height, width, and depth of God’s love.

·        We will provide a year round facility for camps, retreats, community events, outreach events, where children and adults can meet with God.   We want to partner with groups and churches that can minister/disciple to children year round.

What we want to do:

 ·        Support and direct a year round ministry center at campground at Lake Texoma

 ·        Support and Direct “Jesus Camp” for the ministry of children.

 ·        By the power of God, give hope and healing to a generation desperate for God.

 ·        Partner with local churches and/or Ministry Organizations so that “Jesus Camp” can be a part of their year round outreach ministry

KEY VERSES:

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom Isaiah 61:1
